Gensuke Daikon (Japanese White Radishes)


  • Short, fat and stark white
  • Smooth texture and nice scent
  • The flesh is soft but will not fall apart with cooking, so it is optimal for oden.


The Gensuke radish got its name from the advisor for cultivar development, Gensuke Inoue. Cultivated from the early Showa period. Also used in Daikonzushi, a regional Kanazawa dish.
